This correction is a series of special formulated water changes to adjust your tank's specific element concentration based on your tank water ICP result. It is set up to raise specific elements and removing accessive elements at the same time.
Prices shown are exmaples. Specific case price may decrease or increase depends on elements for correction.
While our 2-part set can help improving the element balance in your reef tank. It is beneficial to do a ICP test and evaluate the elements and contamination level in your tank from time to time.
We can help you to correct your tank water following the steps:
You do a ICP-OES or ICP-MS test for your reef tank. (We use and also sell ATI ICP-OES water test kit). Notes: DO NOT change water after you send out the test and before you do the correction. Recommend choosing ATI or Oceamo's ICP test. Do not use Fauna Marine's ICP if you want to do NAF correction.
Use the ICP Dosing calculator above to upload or link to your ICP result. If you use link, please check if the Salinity is the same in the ICP report. Manually adjust the salinity to the number in ICP report if it’s not aligned ( we will fix the software bug soon).
The calculator will calculate the needed water changes and salt for each water change to complete the correction.
You can adjust how many times of water change for the correction. Then add the correction to cart and proceed check out. Lead time for correction salts is a week currently. We are improving the turn around time. Thank you for your patience!
We make the correction salt mix and solution for you to pickup or we can ship it to you via UPS ground.
Do water changes following instructions. DO NOT add any other salt or solutions besides the correction salt and solution we send. All you need to add is RODI water to make the correction salt water. The correction also adjust the salinity step by step.
Major element correction will contain SO₄²- & Cl- to maintain correct sulphate & chloride ratio. Calcium: CaCl2 & CaSO4. Magnesium: MgCl2 & MgSO4.
